Blossoming in Eternity
I diverge from those Buddhists who see human incarnation as based only on ignorance. To me, this divine leela is bliss in motion, an ever-blossoming flower of being.
Gregory of Nyssa introduced the concept of ‘epektasis’ — the dynamic process of perpetual growth and expansion toward the divine.
But it's important to note that in abiding nondual awakening, fulfillment is present at every stage of this ongoing relative unfolding. It's not driven by lack or seeking. It's the bliss of ever-new possibilities and growth in eternity. The blissful flow of being and becoming, always rooted in the eternal and holistic ground of pure awareness-being.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was once asked why does the unmanifest manifest itself as relativity? His answer was: because of the sheer joy of it. He made the analogy of being in a warm bath — the field of bliss. When we're lying still, we don’t experience it. But if we wiggle our toes, the bliss becomes blissful.
The trouble isn’t that we're embodied, incarnated, relative. The trouble comes when we're alienated from our eternal and infinite nature. When we come into abiding remembrance of That, we can enjoy this divine show without fear or need.
